Indy-versary!
Thursday 29 May, 2008So we had our "Indy-versary" last weekend. The Indy 500 was our first kiss, and my graduation present from Adam, and a yearly tradition and damn good time since. Last weekend we went again, and let me tell you - it was a great race! Neither of the 2 i was really pulling for won - but it was still a great race, something ALWAYS happening. Including one guy who turned right... anyone who knows anything about Indy - its ALL LEFT TURNS! Lots of "good" crashes with no one getting hurt.
We arrived a little earlier than expected so we stopped at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. (A very cool place with WAY too much art to see in 2 hours.) Turns out, Adam thought of proposing there too. =) So something tells me we are going to start looking for ways to incorporate a little Indy into the wedding.

Registry Begins!
Tuesday 20 May, 2008Its official - we are registered! We went to Dillards and started our registry! Noritake's Platinum Wave for china, and Mikasa's Flames de Amore for stemware! Thats as far as we've gotten - but its a start! (photos in album)
Wedding Planner!
Tuesday 20 May, 2008We hired Rachelle Youd as our wedding planner! Honestly, I drug my heels about this orginally becuase I felt that I was organized and I could do it all myself. After meeting with her, and my parents deciding that they were going to hire her regardless of whether or not I thoguht it necessary, I realized that - sure, i could do it all myself - but now I don't have to! Rachelle is sweet, experienced, level headed, and worth her weight in gold for being the go-between for the 'rents and I! Oh yeah - and Rachelle used to be my babysitter when I was little - and is sworn not to give anyone stories for ammo for their toasts!!
Dress Ordered!!
I ordered my dress this weekend!!!! WOOHOO!!! Now, I WANT MY DRESS!! Yes, I am the two year old who never learned how to wait for a gift she knows is coming. I said that I wanted my dress to my mother - she laughed and said "Why, are you going to wear it?" hmmm - possibly, when no one's around. =) On to picking the bridesmaids' dresses and invitations... need more magazines!Tuesday 25 March, 2008

Erin Go Bragh!
Monday 17 March, 2008Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Many congrats to our friends Pat Green and Stephanie (soon to be Green) who got engaged this weekend!
Paddy O'Leary's kicked off the St Pat's weekend with "Parkin Green" playing live music on Friday night. (Pat being the "green" of Parkin Green). Between sets, Pat hushed the crowed and said he had a question for a wonderful woman he had met right there at Paddy O'Learys. She was shocked and thrilled and hugged and kissed her way through a "yes" response.
Congrats yall!!
Lunar Eclipse Photos
Monday 17 March, 2008So I realize it might seem odd that I posted photos from Adam and I observing the lunar eclipse on our wedding website... so I thought I would connect the dots.
Adam banded together with my siblings to buy me a telescope for Christmas! And its awesome!! Its the Celestron C6-SGT and I love it! We like observing together so I am sure there will be more photos of us and the telescope.
If you haven't yet followed the proposal link to shutterfly and clicked through the pictures and read the captions - do so now! If you have, this is the telescope that Adam snuck out of the house and into the trunk of his car for an evening of observing out at the beach on Jan 19th. (The proposal). Unfortunately, this is also the one that remained in the trunk all night becuase the wind was flinging sand everywhere and we didnt want to risk it.
Anyway. Much love to whoever is taking the time to read this!
Dress Decision!
Monday 10 March, 2008Adam had his cross country flight to Austin this past weekend. It went well, blessed with decent weather and a cool instructor he had a good time.
I, on the other hand, was bitten by the crafty bug. (They really shouldn't let me into Jo Anns without written permission!) I am going to wear "barefoot sandals" for the wedding (basically an uber anklet that also adds decor to the top of your foot, but there is no real shoe to it). I had been looking around online for them and they aren't cheap! Or the ones that are - look like it. Thus, I decided to make my own. A bunch of beads, wires, clippy things, and hours later I had made my first sandal! And then realized I needed more beads to make the matching one. whoops. I went back for more beads, and decided to try new designs as well.
Anyway - the point being, throughout my crafty explorations this weekend I watched a marathon of "Say Yes to the Dress" (a reality show based in Kleinfelds Bridal Salon in NYC). After waaay too many hours of bride to be's picking out their dresses and paying a bazillion dollars for them - i decided which dress I am going to wear!!!
Obviously, I'm not posting my dress info on here, so if you want to know, email me.
Next task, find bridemaids dresses in a color i like.....
