  • Ceremony

April 4th, 2009. Bay Point Marriott Beach. Late afternoon.  Join us!

Fr. Steve from Holy Nativity Episcopal Church will preside o' the ceremony held on the private beach of the Marriott.  (Woohoo for no drunken spring breakers wandering through the middle of the ceremony!)

Everyone will walk out a very long dock to get to the beach (I know, sounds odd, but you'll understand when you see it.)  The dock has a shoe requirement so no one gets splinters... once you get to the end of the dock however - ditch the shoes and stick your toes in the sugar white sand!!  Ahh - and when I say a long dock - I mean it.  It takes 5 minutes (at a brisk pace) to get out to the beach - PLAN ACCORDINGLY!!!!

  • Reception

The reception will follow the ceremony and will be a celebration!  Kick off your shoes (if you were wearing any to start) and enjoy the fun.  Our theme is elegant and comfortable.  Sparkles and starlight with barefeet and good friends.

To get from ceremony to reception, you'll walk back in the dock (after stopping to take a group photo!) and meander on over to the Grand Lagoon Terrace.  (It'll be the covered deck with all the lights.   We are waiting until the actually wedding to see each other all gussied up, so there will be a cocktail hour for yall to mingle with a drink while we take some photos.

There are a few requirements to the reception:

    1. You must laugh.

    2. You must talk to other people and hear their hilarious stories

    3. You must dance like no one is watching!  (We will be!  Come join us on the floor looking a bit silly, but having a great time.  Which leads me to rule #4...)

    4. You MUST have a good time. =)

I hope we can all follow rules!!
